Bigelow Members Stand Out!

Our campaign to stop the cuts is taking off! Here is how you can join us!

(1) This week is our rally at City Hall, on Thursday, March 31, from 3:30 until 5:00. Click here to let us know now that you are coming.

We have been asked why the rally begins before the school day ends in the high schools. In some schools the day ends as early as 2:00. We choose a timeframe to encourage all members to participate. If you work in the high schools, we will all still be at City Hall when classes end and you are able to join us! It will be exciting to watch our numbers grow as the rally goes on.

FYI: I've received emails of support from MTA Vice President Max Page and President Merrie Najimy. One or both of them will be joining us.

(2) Our email campaign is going strong. We have already sent nearly 700 emails each to Superintendent Fleishman, Mayor Fuller, and the School Committee. If you haven't already, click here to add your voice! Keep the emails coming!

(3) Newton North and Bigelow have already held standouts. NSHS, Brown, and Oak Hill will hold a joint standout on Tuesday, March 29. All are welcome to join the standout in the Brown and Oak Hill roundabout between 7:20 and 8:05.

(4) Click here to sign up to speak at the public hearing on the budget on Monday, April 4, from 6:00 to 7:00. (We're all working in person; we wish the school committee would hold this public hearing in person.) In solidarity,

Mike Zilles, President
