NTA EBulletin October 18, 2020

Negotiations Update We have reached a tentative agreement with the NPS on an MOA on changes to working conditions due to the "Return to Learning" plan.  Many matters covered in the agreement are already in place in practice:

  • High needs students schedules, elementary hybrid and distance learning schedules, middle school and high school remote learning schedules;

  • School calendar;

  • Staff assignments and accommodations.

Others are new:

  • Additional "pandemic" sick days for this year;

  • Paid leave time for required quarantining;

  • Reimbursement for required COVID-19 testing;

  • An expedited dispute resolution mechanism to ensure compliance with the terms of the agreement. 

This is only a very partial list of matters that are covered by the agreement.
